Operation Snowpile

THANK YOU!

December 10, 2009
Thank you to everyone who participated in the toy drive this year. We have met our goal of providing 50 toys to children at the Child Life Unit!!!!

Among our amazing donations were some very cuddly plush stuffed animals, a legion of Lego sets, video games and more than one old-school board game. These are guaranteed to bring the laughter and comfort so necessary for their recovery.

With love and thanks!
Kristina and Angela

Toy Shopping at the Swedish Christmas Fair

December 7, 2009

I dropped by the Swedish Holiday Bazaar for Operation Snowpile on Saturday. Sanam  Toosi, a local Washington writer and volunteer activist, dropped by to catch up and hear about the toy drive. While I did limit myself from buying too many traditional swedish Christmas toys, I didn't limit myself from the fun of the holiday bazaar-- music, food, wrapping paper, ornaments, oh my!

For more coverage, check out Sanam's article here.

Halfway there!

December 6, 2009
Thank you to everyone who has made donations so far. Yesterday Angela and I were able to go to Toys 'R Us and buy 27 new toys for the children inclusive of The Very Hungry Caterpillar board game, some Hannah Montana dvds, Wii games (for the portable hospital Wiis), and a variety of other cool supplies. Due to everyone's generous support we are right on target to meet our goal of 50 toys.

THANK YOU for your generosity!
